This week, we enjoyed a history walk around Barnstaple. During our walk, we learnt about the different bridges in Barnstaple, including how and why the new bridge was built. We also discovered why the old railway bridge was demolished and discussed how people used to travel around the town in the past.

As we explored, we compared what has stayed the same in Barnstaple over time and what has changed. It was a great opportunity to see history in the places around us.
