This term in Year 1 Music, we are deepening our understanding of beat and rhythm through percussion instruments. The children enjoyed their first lesson using djembe drums, where they explored rhythm through call and response. They listened carefully and repeated patterns played by Mrs Powley, developing both their listening and coordination skills. The session was great fun, and the children thoroughly enjoyed their drumming experience.
