Year 1 Trip to RHS Rosemoor

Last week, our Year 1 pupils enjoyed an exciting trip to RHS Rosemoor. Although the weather wasn’t on our side, the children had a fantastic time exploring the beautiful gardens and taking part in hands-on learning activities.

During the visit, the children learned all about the life cycle of a plant. They acted out the different stages of a seed growing into a plant—rooting, sprouting, growing leaves, and eventually flowering. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they brought this process to life through movement and storytelling.

The highlight of the day was planting their very own seeds, which they brought back to school. The children are now eagerly watching and caring for their seedlings, hoping to see them grow in the coming weeks.

It was a wonderful opportunity for Year 1 to connect with nature, reinforce their science learning, and enjoy a memorable experience together. A big thank you to RHS Rosemoor for hosting us!
