In Drawing Club, we have focused on the book 'You choose'. The children have practised answering in full sentences, such as, I would choose ____. We then chose and wrote different items from the 'What would you wear page?', such as, top, coat, pink top, blue shoes. The children were encouraged to use their phonics fingers to segment each word and use our phonics mats to help them identify the sounds in each word. For handwriting, we have had a focus on the letter 'a' formation ensuring we start and finish the letter in the right place. It would be great if you could continue to practise correct letter and number formation at home with your child, including writing their name.
