This week in Art, we have continued our work on print making.  Taking inspiration from the textile designer Orla Kiely, the children carved their own designs into a potato.  They learned how to use a sharp pencil to carefully dig out the shape.  The adults then cut them out so they could print with them in their sketchbooks.  The children were interested to know what other things they could use, so we cut a pepper and an apple and tried to print with these.  You could try this at home with different fruit and veg.
