We have been testing which materials we believe make the best curtains in Year 1. We tested cling film, foil, cotton and card. We learned about opaque and transparent materials. We then used a torch to test if it let the light through. We wouldn't want transparent materials as it would let the sun in and wake us up! We decided to use cotton as it was opaque (did not let light through), soft and flexible (easy to move).
