We have been learning about how different materials absorb liquids. We discovered that some materials can soak up water, meaning the water does not disappear but is held inside the material and can be released again by squeezing it. Before carrying out our investigation, we predicted that wool and cardboard would absorb the water, while tin foil and cling film would not. To make our test fair, we used the same amount of water and allowed the same amount of time for each material.
