Exmoor Zoo

Year 2’s Wild and Wonderful Visit to Exmoor Zoo

Despite a little rain, the Year 2 classes had a fantastic and memorable trip to Exmoor Zoo! Spirits remained high as the children explored the zoo and came face-to-face with a variety of amazing animals.

The highlights of the visit included opportunities to meet some of the animals up close and learn fascinating facts from the knowledgeable zookeepers. The talks were both fun and informative, giving the children insights into how animals adapt to their environments and what they like to eat.

From furry mammals to scaly reptiles, there was something to capture everyone's curiosity. The experience helped bring their classroom learning to life and sparked lots of great questions and conversations.

Wellies may have been essential, but the weather didn’t dampen the children's enthusiasm. It was a wild day out—full of learning, laughter, and muddy boots!
