Year 2

This week in art, we looked at famous artists and their depictions of horses.  We looked at realistic oil paintings like the work of George Stubbs and more abstract dreamy images like Marc Chagall and Wassily Kandinsky.  Year 2 are getting really good at discussing and expressing opinions about artwork.  They are good at respecting different opinions too.

After that, we experimented on our sketchbooks with colour, in response to the artwork.  It's always nice to share examples with one another at the end of the lesson.  This is a great way to inspire one another and develop new styles.
