This week the children have been learning about the text Super Daisy. They have made their own super Daisy using a template and sticking on wool for her hair. 

We have also completed the first phonic assessment which will be coming home in the children's book bags. The highlighted or circled sounds and words are the ones which your child will need to practise. It would be great if, over half term, you could build words with the sound cards such as, hat, cat, bat and mat (CVC) words. Most children find the blending part of reading the sounds tricky. Please keep practising this at home.

In maths, we have been talking about more than. The children have been looking at a number of objects and saying who has more or less.
