Our caterpillars have started to cocoon. We have been observing the transformation so far. The caterpillars grew to more than 3 times their original size before making their way up to the top of their tubs. Then they began to transform into cocoons. They will stay like this for about 2 weeks before they emerge as butterflies. Once this has happened, we will take them down to the Secret Garden to watch them fly away.
