The children have been learning about odd and even numbers. We looked at the numberblock characters and the numicon. The children said the sentence 'an odd number is on its own' 'an even number always has a friend'. The children then played a game with the numicon sorting odd and even numbers. They said the sentence as they sorted each number to remember what an odd and even number is.
