This week's book has been "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." We have some real caterpillars in our classrooms and we have been observing them as they are growing. We have been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. We have been making our own caterpillar stick puppets. We did this by drawing around circles and then sticking them together in a repeating AB pattern. We have also been writing "I like..." sentences and then adding our own favourite food at the end, using our phonic knowledge to spell the food words.
